After our whirlwind day of National Parks and Monuments, we were totally exhausted. We overslept the hotel breakfast, but ended up at the Blue Bison in Hot Springs. The coffee, scones, and muffin were delicious. They also had wifi. Joe had some real admin things to take care of, I mostly played on the internet but we ended up spending the whole morning there. More coffee and sandwiches a were also consumed as we tried to figure out the rest of our plan. We toyed with the idea of heading into Rocky Mountain National Park but since it was a popular weekend, we wouldn't be able to secure a campsite. Instead we decided to head to Joe's friends place in Boulder, which would be our home base for the most of our time in Colorado.
The next few days were busy. We (and by we, I mean Joe) moved his stuff into a new storage unit, walked around City park, ate a lot of delicious food, drank a lot of great beer, walked around Golden and B-cycled around Boulder. We also agreed to the crazy sunrise hike, which really was a great time - and something I am looking forward to doing again (either in NY or Colorado)
It was an incredible trip, I was sad to leave Colorado, but it won't be my last time there this year!
