Boilermaker (20)15k Training Week 5

Monday
I was a bit beat up after a seriously fun Sunday that I was not motivated to do anything.  Instead I watched Jurassic World for the second time.

Tuesday
3 miles @ 11'12.
It was a terrible run.  Hot humid and legs full of led.  The only saving grace is that the race day heat shouldn't be a shocker.

Wednesday
I did 30 minutes of Pilates at the house.  It wasn't my best effort.

Thursday
4 miles & 9'52"
I finally switched up my running location and took Marcy over to the Corning Preserves.  We had a far better run.  Which is a relief after such a lousy run on Tuesday.

Friday
Hiked 8.6 miles
My uncle and I headed down to the catskills to hike Peekamoose and Table.

Saturday
Was spent doing some amazingly lazy kayaking in the Adirondacks.  In the afternoon, I took Marcy for an hour long walk, it was not nearly as effective as tiring her out as a run.

Sunday
6 miles @ 10'48"
My goal was to run negative splits, but it wasnt in the cards.  It was a lot sunnier, hotter, and more humid than I was prepared for.  After the first 3 mile loop, I stopped so Marcy could get water and cool off.  It was too hot for me, and likely too hot for her, but she powered through better than I did.  The run wasn't pretty.  and I think a sign that its now time to find a new loop to spice it up a bit.
