Costa Rica Adventures::La Fortuna// Arenal :: Baldi Hot Springs

J & I got into La Fortuna around noon on Friday, we couldn't get into our room but were able to drop our bags behind the desk and walk around town without our gear. We had an okay lunch at My Coffee, which comes highly rated on trip advisor and Lonely planet, but wasn't anything special. We did some research and we decided to go to the Baldi Hot Springs that evening.

The hostel receptionist called one of his buddies (we think) who drove us to the resort for 8 bucks. We checked in, received one of many wristbands that we began collecting and wandered around the springs checking out the different  pools and their temperature.

After wandering the entire length and back, we walked back yet again to the buffet dinner that was included with our enterance.

It was quite the production but tasty enough for the 6 dollars extra. Once full, we made our way to the bar to open a tab so that we could buy some drinks at the different swim up bars.

We chose a 109 degree pool and enjoyed some drinks before wandering to  a few different pools of various temperatures.

The springs were family friendly, and cleared out by 9pm. We had thought that it might turn into more of a club, but if it had we didn't stick around long enough to see it.

It was interesting to go, and the place was packed, but I'm not sure I would have felt like I missed out had we not gone. It was however very relaxingn after some long travels to get to Arenal.
