September Resolution Recap

New Year's Resolutions 2013

Complete a 5k in 25 minutes. 
I think maybe this goal should become - run a 5k.  I tend to sign up for the longest distance any local race may offer.  Making it hard to improve on a race time for a race distance I've only done 7 times.

Yoga 1x a week. (13/52) (25%)
I did my in home yoga a few times and have recently restarted pilates.... that should count for something, but it's not the original goal.

Complete 12 items off of my bucket list. (6/12) (50%)
It seems quite petty that on my bucket list it included going a month without hitting snooze.  But it was a personal challenge I wanted to accomplish.  And I did.  It wasn't easy, and I typically laid in bed for the amount of time I would normally hit snooze, but hey I didn't have to hear the same song on my phone over and over and over again. Sure enough the first day back to not "having" to hit snooze and I knocked that sucker 3 times.  I have a very strong love/hate with snooze.

I was also surprised when a friend turned up with his motorcycle to take me for a ride to accomplish my goal of riding on the back of a motorcycle.  I now have a strong interest in obtaining my own.  (and thankfully my parents don't read this blog!)

Volunteer 1x a month (5/12) (50%)
I know I can make time to volunteer, but between back to school and weekend fun - hiking, farm aid, half marathons, ragnar, I didn't have a whole lot of extra time.  Next month should be less crazy....

Make my bed 1 morning a week(52/52) Complete! (100%)

Travel outside of the Greater Capital District 1x a month. (8/12)(67%)
I ran 13 miles around Manchester, VT and then spent a quick afternoon in the city.

Read 33 books (26/33) (76%)
I only read one book this month.  Foodist.  Which was easy to read, but I can honestly say  I didn't learn anything new, especially since I've read all of her primary sources for the book.

Save an additional 100 bucks a month. womp womp. 

Run in 13 races for 2013 (8/13)(75%)
Maple Leaf Half Marathon

Hike 13 High Peaks (13/13) - Complete! (100%)
I accomplished this goal this month and hiked Lower Wolf Jaw. Now that I've made such a dent in the 46er list, it's hard to imagine wanting to take 3 years to complete this goal. I'm hoping to hit 30 (4 more) before the end of 2013.

Hike 13 Catskills 3500 (1/13) (8%)
I finally hiked down in the Catskills! So far my grand total of hiking for this year is 15 mountains.  13 high peaks, 1 catskill 3500 and 1 ADK Mountain. I'm so torn between reaching the 46 and exploring the catskills!
55% Completion rate up from 45% Last month!

Making moves!  I feel like I accomplished a ton in september. I hope I can continue the streak.
