Life after school.

Yikes, I have been busy.  After the Lake Placid Half, I rounded into the final week of school. It was a great week and hard to believe that summer has officially started.  I spent last week cleaning and reorganizing my classroom and staying out in my uncles farmhouse house/dogsitting.  It was quiet, remote, peaceful, and quite frankly, terrifying.

After 7 days I decided to trade in the farm for the Hamptons where the rest of my family is living this summer.

I headed back to Albany for a few hours before hitting the road and heading down to East Hampton, NY. My parents have a summer house, as does my sister's family.  It's amazing that this is still NY.

Yesterday, after indulging in some yummy Mexican food, I decided to head out for a run in the neighborhood. About .64 away was this bay beach.  Rocks, no life guards, a very quiet area, and very New England-sh

After snapping a few pictures, I thought about running back the same way but I was in the mood for hills and thankfully the neighborhood obliged.  After consulting with google maps, I figured out a loop to make my way back to the house and headed up the hill.

While I was hoping for a 3 mile run, I ended up back at my parents house at 2 so I called it.  It was still quite steamy and I didn't feel like figuring out another loop for another mile.  It's a nice neighborhood and a runners dream during the week since there are few vacationers and most of these roads are completely empty.  Now I'll spend the rest of my week between hanging out with my parent, or my niece / sister's family, running, and beaching.  Hello Summer !
