After the hot mess that was the first body combat class, it was much more enjoyable this week. I'm never one to make fun of anyone who is out there getting their sweat on, but I couldn't help but notice how uncoordinated the girl behind me was. It threw me off. She was working her tail off but I couldn't rely on her if I couldn't follow the choreography that's for sure. (and i'm sure many feel the same way about me)
Planned: 4 miles
I went back to the Corning preserve for my 4 mile run. I saw a lot of the same people, which made me realize I should switch up my runs a bit. I don't want to be too predictable. I felt pretty strong, and made a new friend between mile 2.5-3.5. I maintained an average pace of 10'29"
Look at me making it happen. who knows, I may be back at the high 9s sooner than later!
I had yet another busy rest day, I had to pick up my car from my cousins who put on new breaks and helped my aunt with a computer issue. After I went out to dinner and watched Top Gun 3D. I didn't make it home until 11pm. So much for rest.
Earlier in the week I had though about making this my 8 mile run for the week. I set my alarm for 4:45 and pretended that I would actually go outside and run at that ungodly hour. I didn't. So then I decided I would run 8 miles after school. I had forgotten about a doctors appointment so by the time I could run, it had to be on a treadmill. I have done 8 miles on the treadmill plenty of times but it didn't happen this night. I made it to 5 and called it a day.
Planned: walk 4
I'm not entirely sure why I didn't do any walking. I was feeling a bit run down from the night before and was mildly dreading the hike I had planned for Saturday. But more likely, having an unexpected snowday threw off my schedule. I had plenty of work to do for school and I just didn't get my act together.
|snowday. had to drive up to feed the piggies!|
|slowcooker banana bread. life win.|
Planned: 8.5 mile run
Actual: 8.2 mile hike.
I didn't ever get my long run in. But I did climb 2 high peaks in the Adirondacks. I won't normally substitute hikes for runs, but it was a challenging hike and I feel that I got an equal amount of exercise as I would have running.
Planned: Spin & Yoga
I was SO sore after falling all over the place on my hike. Walking was a challenge, Spin was definitely not happening. But really, that shouldn't be a huge surprise. I've been sucking at making it to spin. I did finally do yoga at home which is better than nothing!
