New Year's Resolutions 2013
Complete a 5k in 25 minutes.
This was a goal last year that I lost track of, but am ready to refocus. I plan on restarting RLRF this week and seeing how much progress I can make (and actually do cross training this time!)
Yoga 1x a week.
I've used this goal for the past 2 years and have been unsuccessful. So why do it a third time? Because yoga has so many benefits and I desperately want it to become part of my regular routine. It'll help keep my muscles limber and provide some quiet relaxation time. 3rd time is a charm, right?
Complete 12 items off of my bucket list.
Again this is a goal that I've had for the past 2 years. Both years I have fallen short but will continue to try.
Volunteer 1x a month
I went from volunteering once to 5 times. I like the direction my volunteering is going. This year I'll be closer to 12.
Make my bed 1 morning a week.
Small goal, but I'd like to become one of those people who wake up with enough time to have coffee at home and nicely made bed. Starting the expectation low.
Travel outside of the Greater Capital District 1x a month.
I haven't lived in the area in a while and there is a lot to explore.
Read 33 books
I read 30 books in 2012 and want to up the ante just a bit.
Follow 1 new recipe a week
Having this goal kept me responsible for having to try something new. Some recipes turn out awesome, others not so much. Now that I've started to get a handle on foods to make, I may try to enter the world of baking. We'll see I have 52 new recipes to try!
Go on a Spending Freeze 1 week a month.
In an effort to learn how to budget and save money for some upcoming travel. I hope to pay more attention to where my money is going.
Run in 13 races for 2013
I was going to stick to aiming for 12 races but thought what the heck, one more for the year.
