RLRF Week 11

RLRF Workout 1
10-20minute warm up
3 x 1600s w/ 1:00 RI
10 minute cool down

I'd like to call this run, the time music actually ruined my run.  For whatever reason I could not get a rythm at all.  I felt like I was running for the first time ever.  I was meant to run each 1600 at 9:23, clearly that didn't happen but again, with the current working situation I was still happy to just get out there.

I was SO stoked on this run.  at first I felt like I couldn't keep pace, but then was able to keep bumping up the speed on the treadmill and knocking out a 9 minute mile (which for an average 10 minute miler runner) was Very exciting.   I also know that I sweat a lot. Most people have made the switch to performance fabrics but personally I still like cotton.  so I look like this after a hard run, especially one that was done on the mill.

Clearly I did not hit my target goals.  Because of my busy work schedule, it really only left me with Saturday and Sunday to get in my workouts.  I had an awesome run the day before and I was tired.  But I went out anyways. I had a great coach a few years ago that would remind us before each run that not all runs will be great.  The time on my feet was all that I was concerned with, so at least I was out moving.


  1. Honestly I sweat more inside on a treadmill (even with the temp cool and fans on) than I do running outside in the heat. Makes no sense to me! Hope this next week is a good one for you with your training.

  2. Great job with the sub 10-minute miles!! I sweat so much on the treadmill, good thing we rarely run on them!
